Decompose into Core Components

The feature 'Subdecks/Folders for Deck Organization' requires several distinct technical components:

  • Backend Data Model: Modifying the existing deck structure to support a hierarchical relationship (e.g., parent-child, or a separate folder entity).
  • Backend API Endpoints: Creating new or modifying existing endpoints for creating, reading, updating, and deleting decks within folders, and for managing folder structures themselves.
  • Frontend UI Components: Designing and implementing UI elements for creating/managing folders, moving decks into folders, and displaying the hierarchical structure.
  • Data Synchronization/Migration: Handling existing decks and ensuring data integrity during and after the feature rollout.
  • Testing: Unit, integration, and end-to-end testing for all new components and interactions.

Identify Primary Business Metric Affected

The primary business metric this feature affects is user retention and engagement. Users with a large number of decks currently find the app unwieldy, leading to potential frustration and abandonment. Better organization improves the user experience, making it easier to find and study relevant decks, thus increasing the likelihood they will continue using the app.

A secondary metric is activation/onboarding, as new users might be less intimidated if they see a clear path to organization.

However, the core pain point is for existing, engaged users with many decks, so retention is the key focus.

Absolutely amazing app offers features with aesthetic design that allows you to put pictures with what you have and reminders to revise. Highly recommend but would love a feature to have folders and possibly store decks together (and maybe search through them). Keep up the good work

Amazing app. One thing though, I'd like to try and organize my cards into a folder. Like school-related cards in the school folder etc.

Absolutely phenomenal app. Not perfect, but by far the best flashcards app that I've managed to find - it leaves Anki in the dust! It's very user friendly with lots of features; moreover, it's not only completely free but also AD FREE!!! 10/10 would recommend this to all students P.s. please add the ability to make decks within decks (subdecks)

It's really great but I want to make decks inside decks to make it organised instead of a lot of decks. Other than that it is good

Hi! The app has been really great so far! I would like to suggest a feature that lets users create and nest folders to organize our decks much better, instead of having them all crammed in the homepage, I would suggest looking at Zorbi's organization technique, much love for this great app

Can you organize it in a way so we can add folders (a container for decks)? Images can not been seen on pc version of the app. Simplicity is great but still please add a few more features.

I actually kinda loved the app. I'm testing lots of flashcards apps, and this one is actually kinda (almost) perfect. It is beautiful and simple. I just wish there was a label mode, so we could organize it better. But it is truly amazing, good job y'all.

What should I say. It feels nice, it looks nice and it's easy to use. You can create folders and sort your cards, what else do you need?

SUGGESTIONS: 1) Create a main folder and sub-folder (it will helpful feature for me to make it smaller chunk) 2) Data statistic like Anki app will make me easier to track my progress. I'm detail-oriented people & visual learner. PROBLEMS: 1) Could you make a card with flipped mode like Studier? I will be glad if you want to make an improvement about it! 2) I always put a cover image, but I'm sure that tomorrow I can't see it, and I don't know how to fix it. Could you help me to fix this problem?
